Is a teaching certificate the same as my diploma?
No. A teaching certificate is your licence to teach. It is generally issued by a regulator, a government ministry, or department of education.
A diploma is issued by a post-secondary institution when you successfully complete a program of education.
In most cases, another document cannot be submitted instead of a teaching certificate. Some countries do not issue teaching certificates. In that case, a copy of your diploma might be sufficient.
