Will the Temporary Certificate automatically be converted into a general Certificate of Qualification and Registration (CQR)?

No. The College must receive proof that Temporary Certificate holders have completed their initial teacher education program before converting their certificate.

Members who hold Temporary Certificates are required to arrange for proof of program completion to be sent directly to the College by:

• ordering their transcript from the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) or contacting the institution where they completed their program and asking them to send a transcript to the College. The transcript must show that you have successfully completed your teacher education program and that the degree has been conferred, and
• ensuring that your faculty has sent a report confirming the successful completion of your program directly to the College.
