The Temporary Certificate program ends on December 31, 2023, in accordance with provincial legislation. Applications for Temporary Certificates closed on August 15, 2023. Eligible teacher candidates who were interested in applying for a Temporary Certificate should instead apply for a Transitional Certificate when applications open on August 30, 2023.

What is the College doing?

The College is issuing Temporary Certificates of Qualification and Registration (Temporary Certificate) to help the province address reported shortages of qualified teachers caused by COVID-19.
