What happens if I let my membership lapse but wish to teach again later?

If you do not intend to teach in one of Ontario’s publicly funded primary or secondary schools, you can let your membership lapse and reinstate it later. We will keep your records in an inactive status and your membership status on the public register will be listed as Inactive/Non-Practising.

You can ask to be reinstated at any time by paying the annual membership fee and a fee to reinstate.

Sexual Abuse Prevention Program

All individuals who reinstate their membership with the College must successfully complete the online Sexual Abuse Prevention Program before they can return to good standing. Individuals who previously completed the Program do not have to complete it again.
