What should I do if I am retiring or leaving the profession?

You do not need to notify the College of your intention to retire or leave the profession. Simply let your membership lapse by not paying your annual membership fee. Your status will automatically change to “Inactive/Non-Practising.”

You can restore your membership to good standing by paying a reinstatement fee and the annual membership fee for the current calendar year. The annual membership fee cannot be prorated. If you have not completed the Sexual Abuse Prevention Program, you will be required to do so before reinstating.
