What should I do if I am retiring or leaving the profession?

Simply let your membership lapse.

As of January 1, 2022 a new designation, “OCT – Inactive / Non-Practising” took effect. This status will automatically be applied to your listing on the public register once your membership with the College lapses.

If you are going to continue to teach, you will need to pay your annual membership fee (AMF) and your status on the public register will remain in Good Standing. Your status must be in Good Standing to teach occasionally.
