Can I teach before the College certifies me?

To teach in Ontario’s publicly funded elementary and secondary schools, you must be a member in good standing with us.

The Ministry of Education may, on an emergency basis, grant a letter of permission to an individual, which would enable them to temporarily teach in Ontario’s publicly funded schools without a license. Please reach out to them directly for more information.
