How do I verify that my Additional Qualifications (AQs) have been added to my certificate?
Check your profile on the public register (Find a Teacher) to verify that your AQs are up to date. You can search the public register by entering your name or your College Registration Number
Tips to help ensure your certificate is updated as soon as possible:
- Sign into your online College account.
- Make sure your personal and contact information is current, including your email address.
- Confirm that the AQ provider has your correct College Registration Number.
- Ensure that you have met prerequisites and be prepared to show evidence if necessary.
- Ensure you have successfully completed your course.
- Verify when your course provider plans to inform the College that you have completed your course.
- Approximately 30 business days after your course provider confirms your course completion, we will update your certificate and send you an email confirmation.
Completed AQs appear on your certificate only if you are a member in good standing and hold a general Certificate of Qualification and Registration.
If you hold a Transitional or Multi-Session Transitional Certificate of Qualification and Registration, you are eligible to enroll in AQ courses if you completed your initial teacher education program. However, you must convert to a general Certificate of Qualification and Registration to have your AQ course listed on your certificate.
If you complete your course before you completed your initial teacher education program, the College will determine that you took the course for personal learning purposes. In that case, the AQ will not appear on your general Certificate of Qualification and Registration.
