What is on the Math Proficiency Test (MPT) and how do I pass it?
The MPT has two sections:
- The mathematics curriculum section is based on the Ontario curriculum for Grades 3 to 9 and comprises at least 70% of the MPT.
- The pedagogy section comprises the remainder of the MPT.
You must achieve a mark of 70% or higher in both sections to pass the MPT.
You can also complete an optional questionnaire consisting of identity-based questions, as well as a Mathematics Attitude and Perceptions Survey designed to gather feedback about mathematics instruction at the undergraduate level.
Refer to the EQAO website for more information.
