Will the member be informed of the panel’s decision on a motion?
Yes, members will be informed of the panel’s decision on a motion in their hearing. Sometimes, the panel will make a decision on the record in front of the parties and then proceed with the rest of the hearing. Other times, they might need more time to make their decision and adjourn until they are ready to tell the parties their decision. The hearing will resume after the parties are advised of the panel’s decision. The panel may release a standalone written decision on the motion itself or include its decision on the motion in the final Decision and Reasons, following the conclusion of the entire hearing.
