How are hearings scheduled?
Hearings are scheduled by the Tribunals Office.
Typically, a member will communicate with College Counsel about the dates they are available for a hearing. Parties should contact the Tribunals Office after they have discussed date availabilities. The Tribunals Office will then confirm hearing dates, and all formal communication about scheduling a hearing will be sent to both parties.
If the parties do not have any scheduling discussions or if a party is unresponsive, hearing dates will be determined at a set date hearing. Either party can ask the Tribunals Office for a set date hearing. At the set date hearing, the parties will appear before a panel and make their requests about when they want to have the hearing regarding the allegations made against the member. A court reporter and support staff from the Tribunals Office will also attend the set date hearing.
