First and foremost, the program’s objective is to improve student safety. However, it is understood that this is a very sensitive issue that may cause discomfort for some. The program will include appropriate content warnings as well as contact information for a crisis centre should they be required.
Before taking the program, individuals are encouraged to consider the best way for them to complete it. Factors to consider are:
- Whether it would be preferable to complete it alone, in a group, or with a trusted person.
- Whether it would be preferable to complete it all at once or in multiple sessions with breaks between modules.
- Whether it would be preferable to complete it without listening to the survivor testimonials. These segments are not required to pass the assessment.
