What does an investigation of an OCT involve?
An investigation is conducted if the complaint is not suitable for or cannot be resolved through complaint resolution.
An investigation typically involves gathering documents and interviewing individuals who may be able to provide relevant information about the allegations of misconduct, incompetence or incapacity. The information gathered by the investigator is compiled in a report, which is reviewed by a panel of the Investigation Committee (the committee that screens all complaints made to the College).
