What happens after I submit a concern about an OCT to the College?
Once a concern has been received by the College, the intake team will evaluate the file. If they determine that the concern relates to professional misconduct, incompetence or incapacity of an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT), the matter is transferred to an investigator.
The investigator then prepares a Request to Initiate Investigation form based on the information provided in support of the concern. The person who raised the concern signs the form and an investigation is initiated. At this point, the concern becomes a formal complaint against the OCT.
