How do I become a teacher in Ontario?

To teach in one of Ontario’s publicly funded elementary and secondary schools, you must have successfully completed an acceptable teacher education program and be one of our members.

We evaluate the qualifications and credentials of all applicants to ensure that they meet the high standards set in law for all Ontario teachers.
