Can I be exempted from writing the MPT? Are there any equivalencies that qualify instead?

There are no equivalencies to the MPT. The only applicants who are not required to pass the MPT are:

• Applicants who are eligible for certification because they satisfy requirements to become teachers of Indigenous language (Native Languages).
• Applicants who are eligible for certification under the Ontario Labour Mobility Act (OLMA).
