Do I have to complete the Sexual Abuse Prevention Program before I’m granted a Transitional Certificate?

Yes. Successful completion of the Sexual Abuse Prevention Program is a legislated requirement for all Ontario Certified Teachers, as well as individuals who are applying for certification by the College. The law requires that all Ontario Certified Teachers complete the Program and the College is unable to grant any exemptions or extensions.
