Does the public register list everything that I need to know about a prospective employee?
The public register is not meant to be an exhaustive list of a member’s academic and professional accomplishments.
The purpose of our public register is to:
- identify whether someone is an Ontario Certified Teacher and their teaching qualifications
- provide information on a member’s certificate status
- verify whether there are any terms, limitations and conditions on their certificate
- identify whether the member has successfully completed the Sexual Abuse Prevention Program
The public register also lists our members’ names, degrees, and in the case of teachers of technological education subjects, their work experience and competency that was needed that was needed to hold the technological qualification awarded.
You can take a closer look at what each of the headings mean by clicking the info buttons throughout a member’s listing on the public register.
